Question by java_user: How to get solar power continuously and without any interrupt?
Gas prices are bound to increase , I think will never come below . Only solar power is the guaranteed clean,affordable ,low prices alternative option.Only problem is it is not available at all time, Can we build a system that can be placed above the clouds and supply us the solar energy on the ground continuously? Any thoughts?

Clean? How are they manufactured?
Affordable? Why don’t we all have them?
Placed above the clouds? Hmmmm…..would this increase the cost? Does it get dark above the clouds at night?

Heat energy required H = m.s.∆θ
H = (1000kg)(4200 J/kg.ºC)(38ºC) = 1.60^8 J

t = 1.60^8 J / 3300 J/s .. .. ►t = 4.84^4 s .. (13.4 hr)

Question by : With some solar panels in hand, what are the other tools you’ll need to build your own power plant?
Electric bills are rising! In order to make up for it, i’ll build my own power plant!

With that huge solar plant up and running I’ll never need an external power source. And I can even sell energy and make my own solar power plant capable of producing power that of nuclear power plant.

I’m also thinking about a Fusion Reactor but that is another story…

You need the frame to mount the panels. You need a regulator to control the dispersion of electricity to the power grid. You need batteries to store electricity for night. You need a power inverter to change DC to AC.

Question by One Person: What was the name of the building that was made out of solar panels?
I really need it for a project. The architecture of it is well known, and the name was in French.
The building was entirely made out of solar panels and has a hyperbola curve to it.
If someone touches it, that person could die from excessive heat.

Anyone have a clue?

Question by : Is it worth installing solar panels on a house that has no South-facing roof?
My house is aligned exactly North-South, so I have no roof facing South. Is it worth installing solar panels? Are there any good options for dealing with this situation?

In your case you will need twice as many panels. This is because the panels on the west side of the roof will be in shade in the morning and the panels on the east side of the roof will be in shade in the afternoon, and a solar panel in the shade makes no power, or at least very little power. So right there you doubled the cost of an already too expensive system. Or you could build special stands to hold the panels facing south. It would be cheaper to just move to a house with better alignment!

Basically, you’re looking at about – a watt. So, for a 2 kilowatt system (small house with minimal demand), you’re starting at about K. And, for a 3.5 kW system (most common size), you’re starting at about K. An especially large house might require a system as big as about 5 kW (about K).

If everyone put solar panels on their roofs they would have to remove all the trees near their homes that would shade those panels for the panels to work at maximum efficiency.

1. Make sure you have enough mounts.
2. Get help with the electrical components.
3.Check and double check the position of the solar panels.
4. Use the buddy system for precautions.
5.Do some research about how to safely install solar panels yourself and make sure that you feel comfortable working with the panels before you start.

I am planning to just go on about stuff like how long it will take for solar panels to pay themselves off with the money I save and stuff about returning to the grid…..

Everything has to do with physics at some level.

Solar panels produce energy. They use energy from the sun ( light) and convert it to a flow of electrons ( electricity). The question about “is it worth the money” unfortunately is not a question of physics, it’s a financial question. I suppose you could try and compare the energy that goes into producing the solar cell with the energy that the cell is expected to produce. If you can accurately compare those two energies then you might have some physics data for your question but that information would be very hard to quantify.
